ON MAY 28TH THE BIOSPHERE RESERVE “MARINAS CORUÑESAS Y TIERRAS DEL MANDEO” IS NOW 7 YEARS OLD.
Time flies! Unesco has been 7 years ago
recognized our territory as a Biosphere Reserve!
Since then, we have been working on various initiatives to boost our territory, highlighting major milestones such as:
We created our brand, to which many producers and restaurants that bring quality and close products to the public.
We got the Reserve to be declared a SICTED Tourist Quality Destination.
We created the Ecotourism Association.
We are part of development projects such as LifeWaterWay and Life
We created the initiative to promote green consumption in #el school canteens, which is part of our Food Plan, for which we received the distinguished MichelBatisse Award from UNESCO.
Among other things!
Now, in COVID19 times, we continue to work so that our restaurants, producers, accommodation and other companies linked to tourism can adapt and get more strengthened from this situation.
To achieve this, we develop a Tourism Action Plan, with the aim of making our Reserve a safe and sustainable destination.
Together and together we will continue to develop our territory economically and socially, protecting @ao the time our nature.
