In 2019, the first group of Biosphere Restaurants was trained and evaluated. These restaurants meet a series of requirements related to: quality and professionalization, facilities and services, good environmental management, usage of raw materials from the territory and also involved with the training offered by the Biosphere Reserve and the continuous improvement of its businesses.
The Ecotourism Association of the Biosphere Reserve was established in 2019 as a result of this work with the sector. This entity, made up of entrepreneurs from the tourism sector, improved the public-private collaboration and participation in tourism planning.
